About us
Golden Gecko was founded in 2015 and is staffed by fully qualified climbing enthusiasts who will make your visit enjoyable, exciting and safe.
We have 190m2 of climbing on the Climbing Tower and the Challenge Wall and 150m2 of bouldering for those with climbing experience. The Go Challenge Wall is great for anyone 5 years and up with or without climbing experience. Climbing clubs are available for children aged 5 to 17 during term time. Please see the individual pages in the menu for more information on what we offer.
Come down and see what the Centre has to offer. We have 10 auto belays offering climbing to almost anyone (ages 5+) and an extensive bouldering wall. Our tower has 13 roped lines, all having a variety of varied grades of climbing.
Our great value Energy Bar is open for barista coffee, teas, cold drinks and a selection of delicious hot and cold food - no need to climb!

Great place to have some fun, even on your lonesome 😉. V friendly staff full of tips, tricks and laughs...obviously experience too! Various walls at diff levels for auto belay, belay with partner and bouldering, also a cafe to chill in. Def something for everyone here, come have some fun, get fit and burn a few calories ( so you can eat cake after 🤭).

My first climbing experience! Loved it!! The staff were helpful but not overly intrusive and let us get on with it. Great way to spend an hour or two!

Great little place with lovely staff. Went with my wife and 14 and 11 year old sons. For context we are all climbers for many years both inside and out. Roped climbing was good with a nice range of routes offering lots of challenge at all levels. Bouldering was also very good although I feel pitched a level that could put off or intimidate as they were mostly overhangs. The feel of the venue is a real selling point. Friendly staff and fellow climbers willing to share knowledge and skills without any macho rubbish that I have experienced in other venues. Looking forward to my next visit. Thank you and keep up the great work.
